Carolyn was a classmate at Burt elementary school. I have fond memories of her. We were standing in line for something, do not remember what, maybe to sharpen our pencils. Carolyn's sharp pencil accidentally stuck me and I had the little scar for many years afterward, long after we graduated in 1959. When I saw it, I would always think of her in a positive way & wonder where she was.

I remember Carolyn from Burt Elementary. She had such a beautiful smile and gentle ways. She was always kind and considerate. Jackie Bodine Kolbusz

I didn't know Carolyn very well, but did know she was another sweet one in our class; we were blessed to have so many.

I do have to smile :-) though when I think about John 'Skip' Grab telling me he had a crush on her at Burt and Redford. Crushes were fun but sometimes painful when the feeling was not returned, but hey all part of growing up and experiencing life, and learning it's not always perfect.

Skip thinks he holds the record for being the last boy cheerleader at Redford (I don't know about that) but do know he went on to give 32 years of his life to the US Navy before retiring.
