First and foremost in importance, Wife to the love of my life, Mother to my two fabulous children and now Nana to my four grandsons.
Secondly, teacher of Consumer and Family Studies, Health, English and Social Studies for 17 years. When teaching jobs weren't available I worked as a technical trainer and then an engineering tech. at a company that made computer chips.

Not making it to half of my classes on the first day because I couldn't find them.
Being terrified of Ms. Devine when I was late to school.
Working in the ticket booth in front of the office.
Standing naked waiting for the awful red swimsuits.
Buying books at the bookstore.
The cream puffs in the cafeteria.
Meeting friends at their lockers.
Learning to play tennis.
Going to the championship football game at Tiger Stadium.
Going to the Jack & Jill Ranch.
My date not wearing a tux to the senior prom.
Pleated grey skirt, sweater, dirty bucks and loafers, red and black plaid slacks and sweatshirts.
Not knowing who I sat between at graduation.
Winning third place in the American Legion writing contest - I wrote about what it would be like when man would go to the moon.
90 cents for a bus card.
Buying fabric at Hinkles for my sewing class and making matching shirts with fruit loop and button down collar for my boyfriend and I.
Term paper.
Movies in the movie room on Fridays for history class.
Sock Hops.

Taught school in Michigan, Colorado and Connecticut. Now living in tenth home we have purchased. My husband and I built two of those homes from the ground up. Yes, I was on a two story ladder using a nail gun. Loved it.
Our kids were competitive swimmers so I became a stroke and turn judge with U.S. Swimming. More fun being on deck with kids than in bleachers with parents.
In my 60’s I discovered I have a God given gift of painting so I have won some ribbons and been in galleries but the real joy is just in doing it from photos I’ve taken.

Westland, MI; Arvada, CO; Colorado Springs, CO (twice); Canon City, CO; Albuquerque, NM; Huntington, IN; Granby, CT; Simsbury, CT (twice); and now 11 miles outside of the town of Westcliff, CO which has no stoplights, Walmarts or McDonalds. I live at an elevation of approx. 9000 feet in the Wet Mountains and enjoy a 180 degree view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The clear blue skies, bright stars, colorful sunsets and God's beautiful wildlife makes for a serene lifestyle. I live where people go to have a retreat or vacation.
In 2018 we moved back to Connecticut to be near family.
