Sorry to hear about Allen's passing. Allen's sister Susan was my high-school sweatheart and I remember her well. She married and moved to the thumb area of Michigan - the last I heard. Allen and I use to go fishing early in the morning and he would laugh like crazy when the bugs started to bite me. We drove his Mom's 1956 Ford - was that a beauty. He wasn't much into sports as I was but he loved fishing. Susan and I use to dance and I believe she was the one that I took to my prom in downtown Detroit. Allen took the picture of us. She wore a blue dress and I had on a gray suit. I think I still have a picture of her. When I went to the 25th year reunion in Redford she asked Allen to find out if I still had my blonde hair. Yes, I still have my blonde hair at 67, and I'm in great health. My name is now Alwyn A Harrison.

Allen lived on Burt Road. He was friends with Don Sutton, a math teacher who taught at Ruddiman Junior High in Detroit when I did between 1964-1969. We had some good times together.

I’ve met Alan at Redford high school and we were friends throughout our studies at Wayne State University. After graduation he moved to Halifax Nova Scotia He worked at the medical school. He was extremely active in the Boy Scouts and he became an executive after many years of service. In the 90s he moved to Toronto. He continued his work in the Boy Scouts. He was extremely funny and was a master storyteller.
