Just came back from a look at the old and sad brightmoor neighborhood yesterday Mon. 9-20-10 and

discovered that our Harding grade school is no more. There is a big vacant lot with bulldozers

pushing the rubble into piles. What a sad state of affairs. Life has changed from what we remember.

Yes, this is indeed true.  I attended Burt Elementary and it seemed to be going strong during our reunion, but now has sadly closed also.  My home at 16120 Patton, however, looks like one of the best maintained houses on the block. 

I have to believe that Detroit will one time come back, differently than we remember it, but nontheless return.
