ERWIN A. STOCK, 1940-2000

 

Erwin A. Stock, 60, Washington, died unexpectedly at 4:02 a.m. Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Poindeter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Stotts officiating.  Burial, with military graveside rites by the Washington Veterans of Foreign War and American Legion, will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. 

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Born April 23, 1940, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Alfred and Emailia (Martinuzzi) Stock.

A former Colarado Springs, Colo., resident, he was a retired illustrator tech and was a freelance artist for 20 years.  He had served in the Army and had been a volunteer Red Coat at the Daviess Community Hospital for three years.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Poelvoorde of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Sheryl Luke of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Arthur Stock of Washington and Roland Stock of Richmond, Va; and three grandchildren.  (September 22, 2000)
