About My Career:
After high school joined the US air force and they made me one of the first computer programmers. After the air force joined XLO corporation as a computer analyst/programmer for 4 years. In 1969 became a consultant for 8 years. my largest customers were GM, Ford, Upjohn. Saginaw steering was the longest engagement. In 1977 started my own business with two other partners called computer methods corp. I stayed as president until 2001 buying out my two partners along the way. I then sold the company to my employees with a esop. I had started another company called Engenius building special hardware and software whitch I still serve on the board. It is ironic that the president who has spent 15 years with me is David Foxworthy whose parents both graduated from Redford in 1959 - Mother Gerry Sanom amd Father Darwin Foxworthy.
I enjoyed getting my letter as a senior but did not enjoy spending the extra half year for being a bad student.
Education after Redford:
Military Service - When and Where
Basic training computer school in texas. The remaining 3 yrs and 6 months spent at sac headquarters in Nebraska
Every 5 years the British open is at St Andrews and since 1990 I have taken my whole family to the event. Because I was born just a few miles from their and was 12 when I left, I can introduce my family to their relatives in the old country .
Born in Scotland and stayed until I was 12. I have lived in Michigan since then minus the 4 years I was in the service. The last 15 years I have spent the winter months in Florida.
