Bonnie Lou Wellman (Heath)

Bonnie Lou Wellman (Heath)

Bonnie Lou Wellman (Heath)

Born August 14, 1941

Died November 22, 2018

Bonnie was married to Ned Heath from 1960 to 1992.  Together they had four sons: Christopher, Cary, Jeffrey, and David Heath.  They moved to southern California in 1963 and settled in Orange County.  Bonnie was a talented artist in a variety of media: stained glass, photography, home decorating and especially sewing.  She worked as a photographer for several years, and as a layout artist for an advertising publisher until she retired in 2008.  She was very involved in her Catholic Church as a decorator and bereavement minister.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer over 20 years ago, and although she aggressively treated the disease it flared up in various organs over the years.  When the cancer reappeared in the summer of 2018, she prepared to fight it again, but it had quickly spread throughout her abdomen and was inoperable and uncurable.  She died without pain and peacefully Thanksgiving night.

She is survived by her sister Gloria Wellman (Tambornini) and brother Perrin, her four sons, and her former husband.  Donations in her honor can be made to St. Hedwig Church, 11482 Los Alamitos Blvd, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.
