Message From Pat's Memorial Service

It's hard to say good-bye to someone that you love, although you know they're safe with Jesus up above.  It doesn't make a difference if they're in their later years.  It only means more memories to carry through the tears.   Don't let your selves forget, we each have numbered days. For reasons that we do not know God wanted it this way. Tears wash away the pain, but it can't remove the love. The memories live forever safe in God's hands above. So today we give thanks for the lives we chance to share.  No matter if they're short or long.  God always will be there.

Care and services were entrusted to the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop-Sassaman Chapel, Northville (248) 348-1233.

My dear friend of 65+ years.....I will miss you so much. Pat was a kind and caring person that once retired, devoted her time volunteering and fund raising for many organizations. Some of you will remember Pat from attending some of the monthly Redford lunches and/or reunions. She was a beautiful person and friend to all. She loved life, family, friends and her dog, Bruiser. All of us were so fortunate to have had Pat in our life. Good-bye my friend. RIP.

So shocked to hear of Pat,s untimely passing.  We were good friends in school and still kept in touch on Facebook and Christmastime.  We were partners in a Modern Dance class at Redg\ford and were a bit clutsy.  We laughed so much!!!  We would practice after school in our backyards but couldn't come up with much of a dance.  She will be missed so much.

Pat was a very sweet, fun and loving person.  I sometimes called her 'Auni' just because it was an endearing name many in her family used and she enjoyed.  We had many chats and lots of laughs, and I look forward to meeting up with her again.

I was so surprised to hear of Pat's passing!  We attended Vetal School together, and  I especially remember Pat from the Service Squad there.  At Redford we didn't cross paths much but reunited at our RHS reunions. I know that she and Barbara Knack remained friends for many years.  My deepest condolences to her family.  Ann Guthrie
