Hackney Sr., Ronald Floyd Age 73. Passed away Dec. 27, 2013. He was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfath-er. He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs, Sandra Young Hackney. 4 c. His daughter, Suzanne Hackney Brown h. Morris. Son, Ron Jr. w. Lori. Son, Doug Hackney w. Maryalice and son Michael. 8 Grandchildren: Shannon, Amanda, Donavan, Alex, Sam, Breanna, Jess and Logan. 1 Great-Grandchild, Brooklyn. Ron attended First Baptist Church of Flower Mound. Always in our hearts.

Ron and I talked weekly on emails. I knew of his operations and health situation, but suddenly in 2012, his emails ended. When I reached out to search for him, his numbers had all changed. When I finally found this obituary, he had died days apart from my husband, Larry. Hopefully they are both enjoying some heavenly horses with my Dad; all three being horse lovers. Sandy was his high school sweetheart and he loved her dearly throughout their lives together.

I am so sad to hear that Ron has passed on. In school I was very quiet and shy but Ron was always so nice and friendly to me. I am lucky to have memories of such a kind and loving friend. May he be resting in peace.
