Sharon G. Fuqua, 67, of Houghton Lake, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2008 at Home. Sharon was born on March 30, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Jesse T. and Violet Lovine (Saville) Fuqua. She worked as a home health aide for several years with Hospice of Helping Hands in West Branch. Sharon had been in the area for over 25 years living in West Branch, St. Helen, and Houghton Lake. Surviving Mrs. Sharon Fuqua are her daughter, Michelle(Kevin Koscielecki) Fowler of Houghton Lake; her mother, Violet Lovine Fuqua of Carlton; four grandchildren, Kyle Mosher of Houghton Lake, Nicole Korbinski of Houghton Lake, Holly Fowler of Mexico, and Peyton Mitchell-Fowler of Georgia; two brothers, Harold James (Suzanne) Fuqua of Brownstown and Darrell Thomas(Wanda) Fuqua of Houghton Lake; several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Jesse, and one son, Ralph Fowler. Funeral services for Sharon will be conducted 3:00PM Saturday August 16, 2008 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, with Rev. Doug Stockwell officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. There will be visiting hours on Saturday from 11:00AM until the service time at 3:00PM.
