1963 Hired at Whittemore-Prescott Schools as a
junior high teacher.
1964-1993 - Elementary Principal at Prescott Elem.
School. Retired in 1993. Served on school board for 12 years, 1994-2006. The last four as board
president. Served as president of the Iosco Co. RESSA joint school boards. Currently own two
businesses, Engster Builders and Engster's Pool
and Spa Supplies. Currently am on the West Branch Regional Medical Center's board. Am treasurer of the Prescott/Skidway Lake Lions, and
was their charter president. Currently am the manager of the Skidway Lake USBC (Bowling Assoc). Officiated baseball and softball for 42 years, coached football for 18 years at Whittemore-Prescott. Taught Hunter,Snowmobile and Marine Safety classes 28 years. Served as police and fire commissioner for our township, and was a volunteer fireman for 22 years. Currently am helping coach our high school bowling team.

I remember as a freshman trying to buy an elevator pass. I am sad to see that Redford was eliminated as a high school, and also sad that the community I grew up in has changed so much.

We, as a family, were so involved in activities in the community that we spent most of our vacations in the State. UP as well as the West side of the State in the Frankfort area. We have been in other states on short trips(See below)
