Tom was "one of the good guys." He was always nice to me. I'll always remember him as a true gentleman. Back in those days, one didn't think of how someone was a "gentleman," but now that I remember him, he sure was.

Tom was a fine classmate who nearly became class president. As I recall he received the most votes in the primary. Skip Wells ran a very successful campaign and won. I have very fond memories of Tom.

I remember only good things about Tom. We went to Cooke school together and he was one of our shining stars. I always thought he would make an incredible preacher. I sorry he is gone from our midst. Pam Rea Thompson

Tom was a terrific guy. I still remember how friendly he was and I always enjoyed saying "hi" to him in the halls. It is sad that he is gone.

I had a crush on Tom, but darn it ... we were always just friends!  :-)  His grandparents owned a hotel in Florida, and twice a year he'd vacation down there. Tom seemed to have many interesting and varied activities that took up his time. He was in Red Hi-Y, the Student Council and the Prom Committee to name just a few. Tom earned a letter for his work as Manager on Cross Country Track and all the while maintained his membership in the National Honor Society. Few may know this, but he was a candidate for the American Field Service exchange program for his senior year. I think we all knew he enjoyed being active in his church youth group and he belonged to the Explorers (a branch of the Boy Scouts). One last thing I remember Tom saying, that he was very fond of Redford's track and cross country coach, Mr. Bruce Waha; he was a very good developer of team spirit. I wish we could have found an obituary for Tom, as I'm sure it would have been one superior read!

I saw Linda's comments on Tom. He lived on the 1st block off grand river and I lived on the second. We were great friends from way before Redford because we went to Cooke grade school together. As 10 year olds we had a group of neighbor hood kids out playing in field and in the street playing baseball until the streetlights came on. When we were older he had a free press route and I'd ride on the back of his bike when he delivered his papers. He was my friend and I'll never forget him

Looking back, I saw Tom's name as deceased in 2002. Is that correct?

Tom Doyle was a wonderful man, a kind of empathetic natural leader.  He was nearly our class president.  I became a good friend with him & worked on his campaign.
