Parshallville Cider Mill

Photos from our fall excursion to the Parshallville Cider Mill in Fenton Mi on October 5th, 2010.

This 136 year old grist mill, which is one of the few remaining water-powered mills in Michigan, is owned by the family of our classmate Sandy Girk (Detlefs) and her husband Jack.

A tour and history about the mill were first and then Fresh cider and donuts were enjoyed by all.

Some of us even bought the fresh apple pie that they make right there.

17 classmates (and some spouses) were in attendance:

Ken and Barbara Kelsey

Jim Whitledge

Bob and Joyce Daily Mueller

Georgeanne Leffler Verbridge

Lionel and Sharon Hurd (drove over from Grand Rapids)

Al and Gloria Arndt

Ralph and Elaine Vogan

Larry Penzel

Dick and Diane Hammer

and of course our hosts:

Jack and Sandy Girk Detlefs - Thank you Sandy and Jack for the great time. The weather was fantastic.
