"other" teachers remembered...

I believe we all remember Mrs. Fahey, and the wonderful Mr. keener, but how many of us remember the squeeky-voiced Jean McLean, complete with dark green gabardine skirt and seamed nylons, and the ________(fill in the blank) Max Legalie (sp), who apparentlly was quite a bowler...

Actually, I am indebted to them for my first career, because I remember going to gym class and thinking that it should be a fun class and  for me, it wasn't .  I think I decided in grade 7, certainly by grade 8, to major in physical education/athletics and have the opportunity to make this class a good experience for my students.

Hi again Cathy, I do remember Mr. Legalie also being good at drinking beer. LOL

As a Guy in the the fifties I really enjoyed our gym class, but there were more activites for the guys,  football, baseball, basketball, kickball, sometime dodge ball against the powerhouse,  I do remember activies we played together  like  50 yd dash, kickball,  indoors together we played deck tennis,  also in the "pom pom" field we would play "pom pom pullaway"  a fun tag game.   What else??   I don't remember the gals playing basketball but you must have played some indoor games.   Didn't we square dance a couple of times a month.  We also played in the Pom Pom field a game called "pom pom pullaway" a fun tag game,  both gals and guys could play that one.

Speaking of teachers I have copies of some pics sent to me by Warren Devine, Maybe Warren could bring them to our Edison reunion,     Mrs. Fahey;, Mr. Keener, Mrs. Gustan, Mrs Sestock, Mrs. Taft, Mrs. Smith,  Mr. Lagale (we think) and the Janitor. Also a few pics of our graduation dance.

See ya next month

I am so impressed with the memory that you and Cathy have. I didn't remember the names until you and Cathy mentioned the. I thank you for being my "Edison Memory"

Janet Bruce

I went to Edison from 3 grade on. I too would like to hear from others from Edison. I do remember Steve, but there must be many more.
