I remember Sarah Crampton -- the music teacher.  I think of her many times around Christmas when I'm in a group singing Christmas carols and wonder why I can still remember every alto part of those songs.

Another -- not remember as fondly -- Gracie Pierce, the librarian.  She eventually called my mother complaining about my "lying"  to her about the books I told her I had already read (things she suggested to me)   My mother confirmed that I did in fact have them at home and had read them.  I still think of this some days while driving to my job (the headquarters of the Carroll County Maryland Public Library.)

I mean I really remember Mrs. Crampton, but I was always afraid of her -- afraid that she would catch me making fun of the music she used to play while she went down the hall to have a cigarette or whatever. But you actually know and remember her first name -- incredible!! :-)
